This is my first time there and won't be my last. We had an 8 piece family meal to go. The fried chicken was moist and well seasoned. Okra and Mac and cheese was also good. I ordered corn nuggets and they were really good. I had a sample piece of catfish and we will like get that the next time.
The Golden Chick was a really pleasant surprise. I had never tried this place before, and when I saw fried catfish filets on the menu, I was going to love or leave it. I love it. I had the three piece combo which is catfish and 1 side and a roll, I will get back to the roll in a bit. The catfish had a fresh taste with a nice batter. I tried it with and without sauce. Both were good my favorite was a little hot sauce with a tiny bit of tartar sauce. The dirty rice was rich in flavor with lot of spicy flavor. The rolls which I saw the make fresh while I was there had a home cooked taste I will get an extra roll next time.!The chicken sells so fast they constantly making fresh batches. The catfish is cooked to order. This place is a Golden find. Great job Golden Chick. Gave a fifth star because the offer free ice creams cones to there customers.
The tenders and the chicken are great. The zing sauce is yummie. If you dine in you get free ice cream. The staff is typical fast food but they are fast!
